-[In the Hospital]-
says to ALL: the ambulance sped to the hospital, Desert Valley Samaritan, the closest level one trauma center in the area, and one of the busiest. He was trying to just relax, but the paramedics kept poking, prodding, and pressing at him with the air mask...he didn't really feel that bad...he actually felt kinda good, mostly numb, matter of fact, he finally realized he couldn't feel anything below the waist, then he started getting worried wait, where the hell are we going...you know I don't have insurance....crap, I shouldn't say that yet....nevermind...he was starting to panick, but thankfully they'd arrived at the ER, and everyone filed out of the ambulance as he was pulled out on a gurney. There was copious amounts of visible blood on his shirt and jeans, but he seemed lucid enough, it was hard to tell where exactly he'd been shot.

says to ALL: She had held Dom's hand the whole ambulence ride to the hospital, the paramedics working around her. Not that they could get her to really respond. The world was but a whirlwind of colours, it was hard to think to feel. Fear had such a terrible hold on her, it was hard for her to even function. She was herded off the ambulence and into the ER, left to stand there as they rushed Dom off to the ER. However, a nurse was pointed in her direction. A sweet older woman who had a kind smile and a gentle touch. 'Sweety? I am sure he will be okay, they'll have your boyfriend all fix up, come on we'll get you all cleaned up.' They had seen this sort of things more than once, and so knew how to deal with it. She gently ushered Mylee towards a different hallway, further into the hospital to get her cleaned up and something to change into. Mylee was covered in Dom's blood, almost as much as he was. She had no idea what was even going on, everything seemed to speed around her and seemed snail slow, all at the same time. She was almost nearly in shock, having never seen someone shot let alone the very boy she was almost completely in love with. Hard for emotions to take that kind of hit and not shut down entirely. When she was left in what looked like an industrial sized bathroom, she started to come to her senses. Tears slid down her cheeks and she moved to wipe them away, and so his blood on her hands. She could not stop the scream that escaped her lips and made the old nurse come rushing in. Mylee just stood there staring at her hands and her clothing, wide brown eyes. Everything was slowly reforming in her mind, images that were going to be perminently burned there for her life. The nurse moved towards the sink and turned the water on. She ushered Mylee forward towards it to wash her hands. 'There's a shower, and some spare scrubs for you. A bag for your clothing, get cleaned up and when you are done I will take you back to the waiting room to wait on the news. I am sure everything with be fine sweety.' With that she left Mylee to get cleaned up once again.

-[conducting the storyline]-
says to ALL: the human body held lots of blood, so its not a shock that there was so much of Dom's lying around. The stray shot from the 'guard' had grazed his femoral artery, severaing a few of the nerves in his upper left thigh, but had passed through cleanly. There was no permanent bone or muscle damage, but the nerves may prove to be a problem. The trauma team quickly triaged him, and got the bleeding stopped, that was their job, it would be a bit of a wait for the neurosurgeon on call to show, he was currently in surgery. They set Dom up with some blood, and an IV, to try and take him out of the shock he was in, and to stabalize him. He was young, and strong, in fairly good shape, so his condition was labeled as stable at once, in order to free the room for less stable patients, and he was quickly wheeled to a surgical waiting room....basically a glorified patient room, with impending anesthesia

says to ALL: he was mostly in shock, he was vaguely aware that Mylee had been around, now she was not, so he was trying to ask if she was ok, but no one listened to him.....they were sort of busy doing other things....when he was finally transported to a room, he rapidly passed the call button. When a nurse came in he tried to focus as best as he could...they'd given him some good drugs apparently.. Where's Mylee....is she ok....is Eli ok, Dani? he was trying very hard to put the last 30 minutes together, but it was a sketchy haze

says to ALL: Mylee was curled up on the bottom of the shower, the water running down on her, making what swirled around her body turn pink. She trembled and was crying, an emotional train wreck at the moment. She was trying to get ahold of herself, because being emotional would not help Dom. As her dad used to say, in times like these it was best to remain calm, because the other person would be relying on that strength to help them through. With enough of her own head back in order, she finished getting cleaned up. Noticing as she did so she had sustained a few cuts and bruises. She did not remember hitting anything that would do that, but everything was confusing to begin with. She stuffed her pants, shirt and bra in the bag. Keeping the only clean item to put back on. She doned the scrubs and tied her hair back with a ribbon that had been lying around. With that she stepped outside and found the older nurse there. She gave Mylee a smiled and led her to the waiting room to wait.

says to ALL: Eli and Dani would most likely be still dealing with the cops, playing a game of twenty or more questions, probably really wishing they had taken a ride in the ambulance, it might not feel as painful, at least there would be good drugs involved. Mylee is shown to Dom's room, where he's asking questions, he's not really sure what happened apparently, though he's been given drugs to seriously dull his short term memory, awesome for pain control, not so good for investigations.

says to ...Pump up the Volume...: Mylee had just sat down when a younger nurse and a tech came out asking about her. She left her stuff with the front desk and followed after the two of them into a small private room set up for surgery waits. It had all the equipment needed if something should go wrong before he got to surgery and personally made Mylee very nervous. In the middle of it Dom was lying on a bed, bugging the hell out of the techs and nurses and personell in there trying to find answers. "You should relax, Dom. Not good for you to try and get so worked up, I don't think they really know anything about what happened." Her accent was thick as she moved forward and took his hand. "You don't have to worry about insurance. I deal with it in a bit." She took his hand in hers. "Don't, laugh....just relax please. Eli and Dani are fine, they're made of the tough stuff remember. I don't know what happened, Dom... I can barely remember it myself. I remember a security guard...a gun...and lots of blood." She turned her face away as she started to cry again.

says to .|.|Starlit*Mystique|.|.: hey...shootings lead to exposure...just look at Tupaq...ok, so he died, but still...he was trying to calm her down, he actually felt pretty good, he'd already forgotten the searing pain when they slipped the catheter in, thats a pain he'd never want to remember look...don't you cry, I'm about two pints low on fluids right now, and to see you wasting them, thats just cruel...he squeezed her hand I'm going to be fine, they've told me so...some possible nerve damage, months of rehabilitation, but statistically, more people die in plane crashes than from going under anesthesia...so we're good, I like my odds. Don't worry about me, I'll be up and making your life a mess in no time...and you are so not paying for anything...I can see your dad now..."um, mum, whats this then, 200,000 pounds for emergency surgery, bullocks..." he grinned, he was actually feeling ok, he was just trying to ignore the numbness, which was unnerving to say the least, as it was in a very private area, and he really didn't want to talk about or face that yet
