Rowan was born in Romania, into a very much gypsy lifestyle. Not much is known about the reasons behind her parents taking her from Romania to live in the Americas, and not even Rowan herself is quite sure. Those years before coming here are still much a confusing mass of dreams and images that stand just outside her grasp. She was raised in America from the time she was 5 years old till the day she left college to go back 'home', with of course the spring and summer breaks spent with her grandparents in Romania. Winter break she stayed home with her parents to celebrate the 'christian' tradition of christmas. Rowan had top scores in highschool, graduating top of her class. She even manage to be in some after school activities, and on the school newspaper. Once out of highschool, she headed onto college, but it just didn't feel right to her. Rowan had felt incomplete for a long time, and if not for the drive to make her family happy and proud of her, would have given up awhile ago. She knew the college scene just wasn't for her, and so finally disapointing her parents as she'd not be the lawyer they'd always wanted, she headed off back to Romania to live with her grandparents and learn her true heritage. That of her gypsy background. She has spent the last six years learning all she could about her family heritage.
Even though a good part of why she went back was to feel whole, she still had another ulterior motive for going home to Romania. To find out that which no one seemed to want to tell her...what happened to make her parents run from their home. She knows it has something to do with the bizarre dreams she gets every so often. However, her search for answers was cut short by the sudden and devistating news of her parents murder. So back to the Americas she went...in search of new answers. The answers to her parents bizarre deaths.
